Lake Michigan Fishing Report – 8/5/2019

Posted on August 5th, 2019 by allanglersguide

July has flown by and we are into August. We were very busy throughout the month of July and we sincerely thank all of our valued guests for choosing All Anglers Charter Service for your fishing adventures!

July was an up and down month as far as fishing goes. With all of the cold water around, the fish are tough to pin down. One day you might find them 17 miles south of Milwaukee, the next day they might be 20 miles north of Milwaukee. One day they might be in 80 feet of water. The next day they are in 300 feet of water. Luckily, with our network of contacts we are able yo stay on the fish to provide our guests the best time possible.

Green flashers with green flies has been the ticket. We’ve also put most of our leadcores away in favor of coppers. Spoons in silvers, yellows and greens have been deadly!

Good luck out there!
Tight lines!!

Lake Michigan Fishing Report – 7/3/2019

Posted on July 3rd, 2019 by allanglersguide

We would like to officially welcome summer! Its been a long wait but we finally have some consistent warm temperatures. Now, we need the lake to set up into more standard summer patterns. All spring we had cold water everywhere. What does that mean to us fishermen? It means the fish can literally be anywhere. Salmon and trout prefer cold water. We are fortunate to spend a lot of time on the water as well as a network of skilled fishermen that allow us to stay on top of the schools of fish. One day they might be in 60 feet of water, the next day they might be in 200 feet of water Without that time on the water or network of fishermen, finding them would be tough.

We are still running the standard coho rigs high in the water column for cohos and rainbows. For kings we’ve been running white flashers with aqua or little boy blue flies. Of course the lake trout have been caught using the trash can dodgers with white spin n glows.

Tight lines,
Capt. Tim

Lake Michigan Fishing Report – 6/4/2019

Posted on June 4th, 2019 by allanglersguide

Our 2019 season is off to a great start! Now is my favorite time of year. The coho salmon are starting to show up along with the king salmon. There are great numbers of steelhead along with the ever present lake trout. There are plenty of fish around to keep us busy. We have been using many different tactics to keep filling the coolers as each species requires a different approach. The coho and steelhead have been caught on standard coho rigs run in the top 20 feet of water. The steelhead have been munching small spoons all over the water column. We’ve been having success with the king salmon running flashers and flies deep. Of course the lake trout been loving us bouncing the bottom with dodgers and spin n glos.

Now is the time to get out there and load up! Give us a call if you’d like to join us!

Best of luck and tight line!
Capt. Tim

Lake Michigan Fishing Report – 5/20/2019

Posted on May 20th, 2019 by allanglersguide

Our 2019 season is off and running. This years seems to be setting up much like last year in that everything is running a month behind due to an unseasonably cold spring. We are still catching enough fish to make things interesting while we wait for the big schools of coho salmon to move up from the south. We are catching a nice mix of lakers, browns and coho during each trip. We are targeting lake trout with bottom bouncing rigs, coho are falling for standard coho rigs trolled in the top 20ft of the water column while brown trout cant resist smaller spoons off downriggers and dipsys.

The fishing will continue to heat up in the next couple weeks. Don’t hesitate to give us a call to set up your adventure!!-

Best of luck and tight line!
Capt. Tim

Fishing Report – October 8, 2018

Posted on October 8th, 2018 by allanglersguide

Fall fishing has been fantastic. We have found fish both near shore and out deep. Near shore bite has consisted of staging king salmon. We catch these hard fighting fish on light tackle which makes it that much more exciting and challenging. Offshore bite has been mainly lake trout and immature king salmon. Lake trout have been biting on dodgers and spin n glows while the immature kings have been taken on spoons. Fall fishing is my favorite time of year. Our season ends on October 15th and then we gear up for winter brown trout through the ice. Stop by often for updated reports!

Best of luck and tight lines!

Milwaukee Salmon Fishing Report

We have been concentrating on the shallow water bite the last week and have been rewarded with some great king salmon action. We have been running #3 jplugs and magnum spoons tight to the bottom on downriggers along with dipsy divers. Catching these big kings is an absolute riot in this shallow, cold water. Don’t feel bad if your catch ratio suffers. These powerful fish are tough to control and they have a knack for finding any way they can to shake the hook in this shallow water. We had a couple crews that included children in the last week and they fought these fish like seasoned pros!!

Check back soon for next weeks fishing report!

Good luck and tight lines,
Capt. Tim

Fishing Report – August 21, 2018

Milwaukee Salmon Fishing Report

Milwaukee salmon Fishing continues to be up and down. This has been a challenging year weather wise as we have had to adjust to rapid and intense condition changes. Multiple fronts in a day, strong low and high pressure systems can make finding fish a challenge. However, we have consistently produced successful trips for our guests by being able to make the necessary adjustments. The most consistent bite has been found well offshore in 200+ feet of water. Surprisingly, spoons have been out producing flashers and flies as of late. We have been fishing the top 80ft of the water column with spoons on the lead cores, coppers and steel lines. NBK,Mixed Veggies and the old standard Cracked Ice have been the best. We are still getting a few fish on white flashers paired with Poseidon flies in aqua and greens. Once the water cools back down, the mature king salmon should begin to stage in shallow water. Never a better time to catch the fish of a lifetime!!

Check back soon for next weeks Milwaukee salmon fishing report!

Good luck and tight lines,
Capt. Tim

Fishing Report – August 7, 2018

Lake Michigan Fishing Report

Fishing was up and down again this past week. Luckily, we always have Lake Trout as a resource to keep our customer’s arms aching! We have been targeting the lakers in 80-120 feet of water with Luhr Jensen dodgers and spin n glows the most effective baits. Bouncing bottom with downrigger balls and dipsys peaks the trout’s curiosity and induces strikes.

Meat rigs behind 10in spin doctors as well as white or green flashers with Poseidon flies produced salmon when we could locate them. Salmon have been tough to pinpoint where one day they are in 80 feet of water, the next day they are in 275 feet of water. In the next couple of weeks the salmon will start migrating toward the harbors when it will be time to start tempting them with jplugs in shallow water. Now is your absolute best chance to hook into a true trophy.

Tight lines and good luck!
Capt. Tim
