We would like to officially welcome summer! Its been a long wait but we finally have some consistent warm temperatures. Now, we need the lake to set up into more standard summer patterns. All spring we had cold water everywhere. What does that mean to us fishermen? It means the fish can literally be anywhere. Salmon and trout prefer cold water. We are fortunate to spend a lot of time on the water as well as a network of skilled fishermen that allow us to stay on top of the schools of fish. One day they might be in 60 feet of water, the next day they might be in 200 feet of water Without that time on the water or network of fishermen, finding them would be tough.

We are still running the standard coho rigs high in the water column for cohos and rainbows. For kings we’ve been running white flashers with aqua or little boy blue flies. Of course the lake trout have been caught using the trash can dodgers with white spin n glows.

Tight lines,
Capt. Tim
