Lake Michigan Fishing Report – July 5, 2018
I apologize for missing my report last week. Unfortunately, Lake Michigan fishing has been slow and there hasn’t been much to report. I will always keep my reports 100% honest and fishing has been tough. Theres always been a point where fishing slows as the lake begins to set up. We are right in the middle of that setup period. We have had days where we have caught 10-15 fish and days where we are coming to the dock with 2-5 fish. Constant E-NE wind has not helped our cause at all. As far as whats working, we are still running standard coho rigs off of short lead cores for both coho and rainbows. Rainbows have been saving the day lately!! Pro King flashers and Poseidon flys have been good for kings and lakers on deep riggers. Charlie Special in white has been the best flasher paired with a Naughty Leprechaun fly. Fishing will only get better from here on out!!
Good luck and tight lines,
Captain Tim.
